Attention motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, Atlantic Road Construction and Paving (ARCP), on behalf of Halifax Water will be undertaking a wastewater (sewer) main replacement on Chisholm Avenue beginning Monday, July 22 and continuing into October.
Typical hours of work will be 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM, seven days a week (see attached work zone map). Pumps will be operating to divert wastewater around the work area 24/7. Due to the nature of the work being done, road section closures will also be 24/7. A detour will be in place. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zone. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents to help minimize disruption. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
