On October 22, Eastern Trenchless, on behalf of Halifax Water, will be undertaking trenchless wastewater system rehabilitation work on High Street. This work will take place from 7:00 AM until approximately 7:00 PM.
High Street will be open to local traffic only between Lady Hammond Road and Normandy Drive during this work.
CIPP lining involves reinforcing the inside of ageing underground pipes with a fabric liner that is saturated with a resin and then cured using UV light. This process is significantly less intrusive to traffic than traditional open-trench excavations for pipe replacement work that would otherwise need to be done.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure improvement work may cause.
For the safety of work crews and residents, please observe social/physical distancing requirements (2 metres of separation).
