Attention motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, Halifax Water will be undertaking water system maintenance beginning this evening (Thursday, November 14th) in North End Halifax.
This work will get underway at approximately 10:00 PM tonight (Thursday) and continue until approximately 6:00 AM Friday morning. During this maintenance work residents in the area (see the attached work zone map) will experience brief periods of reduced water pressure or no water service. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow as maintenance crews progress through the work area. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and expect delays. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones. Sidewalks will remain open.
