Integration Analyst

Primary Function

The Integration Analyst is responsible for administrating and optimizing SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Power Platform. This includes ensuring these platforms are configured for optimal performance, security, and user experience. Additionally, the Integration Analyst creates and maintains integrations and automations to streamline workflows and improve efficiency across the organization. They work closely with various departments to understand their needs and develop solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Administer, configure, and set standards for Microsoft 365, including SharePoint site collections, libraries, lists, and user permissions.
  2. Provide technical support and training to end-users, addressing issues related to SharePoint, Teams, automation, and integrations. 
  3. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for integrating various systems and applications. Ensure seamless data flow and communication between systems. 
  4. Maintain and support existing integration solutions, ensuring they continue to meet business needs and perform efficiently.
  5. Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to streamline business processes and improve efficiency. This includes creating scripts, workflows, and using tools like Power Automate.
  6. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation. Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflows and reduce manual tasks.
  7. Work with the Enterprise Architecture group to ensure new systems and applications integrate seamlessly, aligning with architectural guidelines and standards.                                                                                                        
  8. Monitor system performance, conduct regular maintenance, and ensure high availability and reliability of the platforms.
  9. Adhere to data governance policies and ensure that sensitive and personal data is handled securely.
  10. Create and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.
  11. Stay updated on the latest Microsoft Power Platform features and best practices, including cyber security in the programming of all integrations.
  12. Monitoring of integration services, reporting and toubleshoot incidents with the customer.
  13. Performs other related duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Education:
    • Post-secondary degree in Business or Computer Science or related field, professional training in Information Technology, or a suitable equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum three years of experience in building Power Platform solutions and/or SharePoint administration.
    • Knowledge of electronic data exchange (EDI) standards and methodology.
    • Basic understanding of authentication, cyber security, and application lifecycle management (ALM) practices for the Microsoft Power Platform are considered an asset.
Other Requirements
  • ITIL Foundations or willing to obtain within 12 months of being hired.
  • Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate certification or willing to obtain within 12 months of being hired
  • Must be willing to undertake and maintain the following safety training:
    • First Aid
    • Globally Harmonized System (GHS) (Formerly WHMIS)
    • Additional safety training as identified based on legislative and operational requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment to accomplish organizational goals.
  • Experience using Microsoft Purview is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture tools.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices.
  • Verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge in water distribution and wastewater collection systems is considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
