UPDATE: Spring Avenue – Water Service Restored
Halifax Water crews have restored water service to those impacted by the repair work taking place near 354 Spring Avenue, Dartmouth. Crews will remain on-site to restore the work area until approximately 5:00 PM today.
Customers in the area may experience discoloured water following this repair.
Customers who experience discoloured water should run the COLD water at one faucet for about 10 minutes. You should see the water clear. Do not use the hot water faucet since this will draw discoloured water into your hot water heater/tank, which could make the problem worse. Halifax Water crews are on-site working to repair a water main near 354 Spring Avenue, Dartmouth. Water service will be temporarily shut down in this area. No estimate of service restoration.
There is stop and go traffic in the work zone. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks remain open.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
