UPDATE - Halifax Water is asking residents to reduce water consumption as crews prepare to repair a water main. Conserving water will help maintain system pressure and support repair efforts while the work is underway. Please minimize use of running water, flushing toilets, or doing laundry during this time.
Halifax Water crews are on-site undertaking an emergency water main repair near 1377 Main Road, Eastern Passage. As a result, water service will be temporarily shut down in the area. This will impact a large portion of the Eastern Passage community. No estimate of service restoration time.
There will be stop-and-go traffic in the work zone. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows.
