In accordance with the changes to provincial woods restrictions announced on Friday, August 29, please be advised of the following updates regarding Halifax Water watershed lands:
- Halifax County: The travel ban for watershed lands surrounding Pockwock Lake located in Halifax County has been lifted. These lands are no longer subject to the provincial woods travel restrictions.
- Hants County: Watershed lands located in Hants County remain closed. This measure aligns with the current provincial ban and is in place to protect this highly vulnerable watershed area.
Members of the public are respectfully asked to do their part to protect these sensitive areas and respect all posted signage.
