Beginning at midnight tonight until 6:00 AM on Friday, October 2, Halifax Water crews will complete wastewater and stormwater system maintenance on several streets in Downtown Halifax. This work will not impact Halifax Water services in the area.
There will be stop-and go traffic and lane drops on the following streets:
- Hollis Street from Morris Street to Salter Street
- Barrington Street from George Street to Duke Street
- Near the intersection of Carlton Street and Spring Garden Road
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks will remain open.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
