The Business Analyst will participate in cross-functional business process re-engineering initiatives, identifying and recommending new or improved business processes and organizational structures to ensure process objectives and intended benefits are realized. The Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all business requirements are identified, documented, agreed and implemented for all assigned business systems implementation initiatives.

- Analyze and model the current state of a service, function or business process to create a complete picture of existing process flow.
- Perform needs assessment and requirements definition to facilitate consensus in the identification and documentation of agreed upon functional and non-functional business requirements and specifications.
- Lead Business Case development and Cost Benefit Analysis in support of major initiatives.
- Participate in business analysis activities to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of current business processes and identify and recommend process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Develop and maintain a requirements traceability matrix to ensure all business requirements, design components and testing elements are addressed and identified.
- Lead the development and execution of User Acceptance test plans based upon agreed system requirements and defined business processes.
- Obtain formal stakeholder approval on business process documents and business change impacts.
- Analyze training needs and support the development of training programs or modification / improvement to existing programs.
- Participate in a variety of management activities including hiring, performance management, discipline, budgeting processes and labour relations matters. Operating within budgets.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of tools and methodology standards for the Business Analyst role.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or Business Administration.
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years in business analysis roles with direct experience performing needs identification and assessment; requirements definition; business process modeling; business case development and cost benefit analysis with knowledge in solution delivery methodologies, tools and techniques. A combination of equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- Business Analysis Certification
- ITIL Certification
- Must have access to reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to undertake and maintain the following safety training:
- First Aid
- WHMIS
- Strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management.
- Developing effective and efficient solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
- Interacting with senior management to document, analyze and recommend solutions and business changes.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior management, clients and technical staff.
- Translating business needs into technical requirements and solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate joint understanding between technical and non-technical resources.
- Ability to protect and keep private any sensitive or confidential information.
Hours of Work: As per Collective Agreement (35 hours per week)
Wage Rate: As per Collective Agreement ($79,841.27).
