Halifax Water PSA Map - Bedford Highway - Hydrant Maintenance

Attention motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, Halifax Water crews will be undertaking hydrant maintenance on the Bedford Highway beginning Monday, May 25th.

This work will require stop and go traffic, and lane drops on the Bedford Highway between Hammonds Plains Road and Larry Uteck Boulevard, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Monday, May 25th and Tuesday, May 26th. See the attached work zone map.

This may cause temporarily discoloured water in the area. Halifax Water recommends that customers experiencing discoloured water flush their cold water lines until the water is clear and avoid using the water for direct consumption purposes until the water is clear. The water remains safe for showering, bathing, cleaning and flushing toilets. Visit https://www.halifaxwater.ca/discoloured-water for more information.

For the safety of work crews and residents, please observe social/physical distancing requirements (2 metres of separation).

We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure improvement work may cause.
