Dexter Construction, on behalf of Halifax Water will be renewing the water main in the intersection of Grafton Street and Blowers Street beginning Tuesday, October 16th.
This work will require the full closure of the intersection of Grafton Street and Blowers Street from Tuesday, October 16, 10:00PM until Wednesday, October 17, 10:00AM. There will be local traffic only on Market/Argyle/Grafton and Blowers Streets from Tuesday, October 16, 9:00AM until Wednesday, October 17, 5:00PM. See the attached work zone map for details. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Traffic control personnel will be on-site to assist in the safe and timely movement of local traffic and pedestrians. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption.
Motorists should expect delays. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
