Halifax Water crews are on-site, undertaking an emergency sewer lateral repair near 1942 Preston Street, Halifax.
Preston Steeet will be open to local traffic only between Shirley Street and Pepperell Street. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks will remain open.
This work will not impact Halifax Water services in the area.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
