Seymour Street – Water Main Repair

From 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Monday, September 22nd, Halifax Water crews will complete a water main repair near the intersection of Seymour Street and South Street, Halifax. Impacted water service customers have been notified of this work in advance.   
 
Local traffic only on Seymour Street between University Avenue and South Street. There will be stop-and-go traffic on South Street in the work zone. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks will remain open. 
 
Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during/following this repair. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. To learn more about discoloured water and to report it, please visit www.halifaxwater.ca/discoloured-water.  
 
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
