Beginning at 11:00 PM tonight, Thursday, August 27 until 7:00 AM on Friday, August 28, Halifax Water crews will complete wastewater and stormwater system maintenance on several streets in Downtown Halifax. This work will not impact Halifax Water services in the area.
There will be stop-and-go traffic on the following streets for the duration of this work:
- Barrington Street between Duke Street and Salter Street.
- Argyle Street between Prince Street and Blowers Street.
- Hollis Street between Duke Street and Morris Street.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks will remain open.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
