Windsor & Young Street – Transmission Main Replacement

Dexter Construction on behalf of Halifax Water, will begin a water transmission main replacement project.  

The following measures will be in effect from Thursday, October 2 through the end of October, 24 hours a day:

• The outbound sidewalk on Windsor Street, between Bayers Road and Hawk Terrace, will be partially closed. Pedestrians and cyclists will be redirected to the opposite side of the street.
• The left-turn lane onto Young Street, near the intersection of Bayers Road and Windsor Street, will be temporarily closed.
• Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout the duration of the work.

This work will not impact Halifax Water services in the area. 

Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
