Mandatory Water Conservation Measures Remain in Effect

Published: 1:08 PM | October 2, 2025
Updated: 2:18 PM | November 12, 2025

November 6, 2025 - Mandatory Restrictions Status Update

Rainfall over the past couple of weeks has been beneficial, but it is not yet enough to lift water restrictions.

  • Lake Major remains under mandatory restrictions.
  • Pockwock Lake is still under voluntary restrictions.

While additional rainfall is forecasted, current conditions require continued conservation efforts. Please continue to follow water conservation guidelines to help protect our water supply. Every drop counts!

Original Notice:

Since the mandatory Stage 1 water restrictions were implemented for the Lake Major supply area on September 10, Halifax Water has seen a 9% decline in overall consumption.
